In conjunction with the performance, Remains Persist, Moriah Evans, together with her collaborators, offers two classes of Organ Work—free and open to all.
In the class, participants will be guided through a somatic practice of initiating movement from deep inside their body’s internal organs. To access their insides, participants are directed to prioritize the felt sensation of their flesh. Evans will instruct the group through a dancing methodology of five distinct energetic modalities—vibration, drawing, rhythm, displacement, and electrocution. Intrinsic to the somatic and choreographic practices within Remains Persist, Organ Work supports participants to feel, name and dance from the residue of information obscured within their bodies.
Organ Work—which emerged during the development of Evans’s previous works Figuring (2018, SculptureCenter, NY) and Configure (2018, The Kitchen, NY)—offers interested participants additional points of entry and means of further engaging with Remains Persist.
Wonmi’s WAREHOUSE Programs is organized by Alex Sloane, Associate Curator, and is produced by Amelia Charter, Producer of Performance and Programs with Michele Huizar, Programming Assistant, The Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles.

MOCA Visitor Code of Conduct
- MOCA respects the individual decisions of visitors and staff on wearing face coverings.
- Do not visit MOCA if you are feeling sick, have a fever, or have had any symptoms of COVID-19 or exposure to someone with COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
- Follow all signage and staff instructions.
Food, drinks, backpacks (even if they are backpack purses), and large bags are not allowed in the museum. MOCA offers free bag check.
Service animals are welcome at MOCA. Please note that pets and emotional support animals are not permitted. We are happy to accommodate ADA Service Animals in our galleries.
Wheelchairs are available for check-out at the reception or lobby desk. Just inquire with a friendly MOCA Gallery Attendant when you arrive on-site. Wheelchairs will be wiped down with sanitizing supplies between uses.

MOCA reserves the right to refuse admission, control occupancy, or eject/remove any person without refund found violating the code of conduct or exhibiting unsafe, inappropriate, or disruptive behavior, or behavior likely to cause damage. Willful violation of the Code of Conduct and COVID Safety Protocols will result in the person being given a warning by MOCA staff or security and asked to cease and discontinue the behavior immediately. MOCA reserves the right to take immediate action at its sole discretion.
