Live Arts Exchange [LAX] Festival: CASUAL, Jasmine Orpilla + Mark Golamco + Jobel Medina
Thursday, October 20, 2022
Ahmanson Auditorium, MOCA Grand Ave
CASUAL returns to LAX Festival Vol. 9! Originally piloted in 2019, CASUAL provides Los Angeles artists with an opportunity to show a work in process. CASUAL supports artists who are looking to engage in a critical exchange with audiences by presenting their work in the early to mid stages of development. The new work can be loose. Anything between the spark of an idea or an excerpt from a new performance that is ready to be tested in front of an audience. CASUAL aims to create a space for experimentation with a friendly audience that feels useful to the artist’s practice and process.
Jasmine Orpilla, (Oro/Plata/Mata)(beauty/brutality/breadcrumbs) 10 mins
Mark Golamco, The Ghost of Ted Dragon 25 mins
Jobel Medina, Kill the Monsters 10 mins
